Agile Insourcing partnered with Agile Workforce for the NHS ConfedExpo in Manchester recently. As one of the biggest and most significant healthcare conferences in the UK, it was great to see health and care leaders and their teams come together at a time of transformation and recovery.
Exhibiting at the conference Agile Insourcing and Agile Workforce showcased their solutions for workforce management and insourcing. There was even an opportunity for delegates to enter a free prize draw to win a much-needed £250 for their chosen NHS Trust charity.
The lucky winner was Cathy Chadwick, Chief Operating Officer at Countess of Chester Hospital. Cathy joined the Trust in March 2022. She has worked in the NHS for 18 years. Cathy’s chosen NHS Trust charity is The Countess Charity.
NHS charities play a vital and growing role in the NHS. Donations to NHS Trust Charities go towards improving the overall delivery of health services by the NHS.
She explains, "I am happy to have won a £250 donation from Agile Workforce for a charity of my choice. I didn't expect to win when I entered the NHS Confed prize draw. I'm delighted to nominate The Countess Charity, one of the registered charities associated with the Countess of Chester Hospital. The charity raises money for over 80 funds across the hospital, each making a real difference in patient care. This donation will help the charity make a positive difference in my local community, thank you!" - Cathy Chadwick, Chief Operating Officer at Countess of Chester Hospital.
CEO of Agile Workforce, Tracy Ward, says: "We were delighted to attend the recent NHS ConfedExpo. It was great to see so many health and care leaders and their teams from all over the country come together at a time of transformation and recovery. We had a record number of entries into our draw, but unfortunately, there can only be one winner."
It is an important year for the NHS, as the 5th of July marked 75 years of service. The NHS treats over a million people a day in England. Founded in 1948, the NHS was the first universal health system to be available to all, free at the point of delivery.
Tracy adds, "The NHS touches all our lives. Today, nine in 10 people agree that healthcare should be free of charge. Like many people, the NHS makes me proud to be British. It is therefore essential that NHS trusts are supported financially and staffed sufficiently to support patient care."
Congratulations to Cathy Chadwick and The Countess Charity!
